"Police were on stand-by with armoured vans and chase-and-subdue dogs, and strict restrictions were imposed on the fans. Reports in The Straits Times said that 'the fans made do with some fierce headbanging, that is, frenziedly flinging their heads back and forth'. The official fears were not realized: the two-and-a-half hour concert ended without violence, and some 8000 fans left very happy"
